FREITAG YOURSELF
The latest bag from FREITAG isn’t quite ready yet. Because we’re asking design-savvy DIY bag makers to provide the creative input needed to assemble and finish the new F740 SONNY SY and F741 MIAMI VICE SY. They can add their personal finishing touches onsite at FREITAG’s Grüngasse Store in Zurich, or virtually via video call.
“You gotta make ‘em yourself!” Usually, you’d have simply picked out your unique bag and be done. But now, at the FREITAG Yourself Station in Zurich, the bag makers hand the responsibility for the design of these two new models to their future owners.
F741 MIAMI VICE SY is a multi-colored reinterpretation of the classic FREITAG shopper with an exclusive additional pouch. And F740 SONNY SY is a more compact version of the same, with eleven instead of twenty liters capacity.
“The same”, of course, is never entirely accurate when you’re talking about FREITAG one-offs, least of all the two new models at the Yourself Stations. With these, you choose your favorite bag body, a pair of perfectly matching handles, and an additional pouch, available in all the colors of the tarps covering the trucks that ply Europe’s transit routes. Once you’ve finished picking out the pieces for your bag to suit your own theory of colors, the store crew gets to work on-site with their sewing machines.
Starting now, the new Yourself offer is available on-site, with no need for a reservation, at the FREITAG store Zurich Grüngasse. You can also reserve a video call slot to make your bag online. For international shipping, you can book a slot at the FREITAG Store Grüngasse in Zurich.
