PRONTO OPENS FREITAG STORES IN CHIANG MAI & BANGKOK

Zurich, December 8, 2017 - FREITAG was first introduced to Thailand through Pronto multi-brand stores back in 2012. Starting with a small FREITAG corner featuring a few individual, recycled tarpaulin bags, it has expanded to include ten Pronto stores. And now, five years later, Pronto is to open two new FREITAG stores within the space of a week. 

The first is right in the heart of Chiang Mai, on Nimman Road. After an extensive search, Pronto finally discovered the ideal location for this milestone project and planted the FREITAG flag in the trendy Nimman district. The store opened its doors on Monday, December 4, in the new One Nimman shopping complex, which seamlessly blends the architecture and experience of street shopping in Europe with Chiang Mai’s distinctive look and feel. It features the tallest FREITAG wall anywhere, with a four-meter product stack reaching from floor to ceiling.

Today, on December 8, Thailand’s second FREITAG store opens its doors in Bangkok on the site of FREITAG’s former pop-up location in the central Siam Square shopping district. Following a full FREITAG makeover, this store doubles its shopping space and on two floors features the biggest selection of FREITAG bags ever seen in Asia. The store will launch with the legendary F-exhibition, which showcases many rare items from back in the day that are rarely seen outside FREITAG headquarters in Zurich.
